The garden works with nature to create a great place for people and wildlife to enjoy. The garden is about our community, whether in Scotswood and Benwell or the wider area, and we welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in our work. This can be as a visitor to the garden, as a member of our volunteer team, or as a participant in one of our events. We welcome you to visit and enjoy the fruits of our labours.

Our education and youth programmes for young people cover a huge variety of themes and activities including pond dipping, environmental arts, forest schools, Duke of Edinburgh and more...
As well as our everyday activities, staff and volunteers frequently become involved in projects.
We are always looking for support from our local community and beyond. Please come along and visit the garden.
